You can get a $1 off coupon on their website, and there are discounted rates for children and seniors. There are lots of cute souvenirs in the gift shop too, and I liked supporting this local treasure. I learned a lot about lighthouses from our tour and from wandering the grounds and 'museum'. The lighthouse keeper's house and the grounds have plaques and photos to give you a sense of the history of this iconic lighthouse.
The volunteers were extremely friendly and the lighthouse keeper was very knowledgeable and clearly loved working there. It's a lot of steps but there are 6 platforms on your way up where you can catch your breath and read about the lighthouse. This lighthouse is the 3rd tallest in the country, and you get a nice little card that says you climbed to the top.
This stop was definitely worth the hour out of our day and the $12 out of our pockets!
